Katrina Kids 10th Birthday Bash
Many thanks to our partners for such a wonderful event!
We took over the green space next to the Parenting Center on Calhoun Street and threw one big birthday party. Helping us celebrate were many magnificent businesses in and around New Orleans that donated their time and resources for this special birthday.
Lakeview Bounce provided a giant bounce house and slide for the kids. Twirl Photography had a Katrina Kids photo booth to capture the moment. Bella with Kidding around Yoga did exercises and stretches with the kids ( and some adults!) , while Painting with Twist was there for the birthday kids to paint their specially designed commemorative canvases that they were able to take home with them!
The Lake Pontchartrain Basin Foundation shared a fun kids activity that demonstrated how vulnerable our coastline can be. There was plentiful and fabulous food from Mandina’s restaurant and Theo’s Pizza . , and Haydel’s Bakery provided such a spectacular 10th Birthday Bash cake that everyone had to have their picutre taken with it!
Our friends at Magic Box Toys created a special party favor bag for each child!
Of course, Many thanks to the Parenting Center at Children’s Hospital for the use of their space, to Just Ask Rentals for the fantastic tent and table set up, and to Travel Central for providing the balloons!
